Purposeful Canines has given our dog and our family the tools and guidance to live our best life! My husband and I adopted our 3-year-old staffy mix, Petunia, almost one year ago. After about two months with her, she turned from the most friendly, sweet and social little girl to growling, lunging and snapping at almost anyone (human and dog) that would approach her (except for my husband and I). We knew this was behavior we needed to address asap, but did not know how. We tried 1:1 sessions with a trainer at a facility in Philadelphia that came highly rated. Even though Petunia “graduated” their program after 5 sessions, the trainer didn’t get behind the leash once, and we realized her behavior hadn’t changed much either, which was a real let down after the money we paid. We have had a very positive experience working with Rob training our dog Dottie. We've been working with him since Dottie was five months old; we can attribute Rob to Dottie being leash trained as well as her no longer jumping on people. Dottie also does not jump on furniture or go upstairs. Rob provides good feedback to owners during training sessions, explaining how to give commands, set boundaries, hold the leash, etc., allowing owners to continue training outside of lessons. We also use Rob regularly for boarding Dottie when we're away and have consistently found him reliable and trustworthy. Dottie is always excited to see him. We've seen so much progress in her behavior since we began training.

Rob is amazing, he is dedicated to his craft, Rob transformed our Pepper from an over anxious hard to manage dog to a well behaved member of our family. Rob's professional, calm and supportive style of training is exactly what our family needed. Purposeful Canines and Rob's board and train program was a life saver, his follow up is wonderful and he is always there to answer questions and provide support.

Rob is an amazing dog trainer. We needed help housebreaking and civilizing our sweet rescue pup, Pennie, and have been working with Rob for four months. With hard work and consistent practice, results happened fast and now we’re working on walking off-leash. Rob is patient and easy to work with. Hope returned last week from her 2 week board and train with Purposeful Canines and we are so pleased with her results. Hope is 15 months old and is very energetic. We were looking to start e-collar training and work on her obedience. She now holds place during distractions, she walks by my side with a loose leash and no pulling, and her recall is so impressive. I felt totally at ease for the 2 weeks she was with Rob. He would update me frequently and would respond promptly when I was checking-in on her. We want to incorporate Hope in our family funeral home businesses as a bereavement dog to provide emotional support for grieving families during arrangements and services.
