Staff is wonderful and helped us completely through the adoption process. We also had our cat spayed through their Low cost Paws clinic at the shelter for $75 with a rabies vaccine! The vet on site was a delight and took excellent care of our fur baby while she was in their care.

Very helpful. Found a beautiful kitten and she is a wonderful addition to our home. Glad I went there. Save an animal. Go find your next best friend.

Animal control has been nothing but helpful. I run storage units and have a feral cat community here they have picked up the cats got the spayed or neutered and a rabies vaccine and brought them back. They also located us to help us with a dog we just rescued who has a wound on his neck. They came and picked him up, fixed him up and brought him back to us. The ladies who pick up the animals are outstanding.

My boyfriend brought in a stray cat hoping to get it help. Instead of offering assistance or resources, we were told to “dump the cat.” Abandoning an animal is illegal in Virginia, yet this advice came from animal control. No alternatives or compassion were offered. This experience was deeply disappointing and alarming, and not what we expected from an agency responsible for enforcing animal welfare laws.

Our fur baby passed away, so we wanted to help another dog in need. So we made a trip to look for another pit that needed us as much as we needed he or she!! So we found this boy!! He is so funny, and full of energy!! I didn't think I could love another dog as much as our last! He is good with children, other animals and people! The people at the shelter was very helpful. I'm glad they help these animals find good homes 🏠. At first I was annoyed with all the questions on paperwork but then realized that they want people to understand that animals are alot of money and your time.
