Prichard Animal Shelter

Personnel we’re kind when I called and the animal control officer was very helpful.

The staff were very helpful and efficient. We dropped off a puppy for transfer, and paid a reasonable 25.00 transportation fee. Everyone there was very friendly.

Spoke with Frank over the phone about kittens I needed to donate to the shelter. He was so very kind to accept them "5" I had become attached to them, as one of my cats had them behind my couch (sectional so open corner). 9 & 1/2 weeks with the cuties. TINKERBELL, & WINNEY are the girls and then theres HOWEY, SOOTY and ELVIS. Frank picked them up from my home yesterday AUGUST 4TH 2017. Thank you Frank, for your sweet kind heart!

Literally the worse shelter EVER!!! Also do not even try & contact them about coming & getting strays they won't come out , said you can bring it if it's a stray you have and they also charge you just to take the stray . Which I feel would be okay if that were a rule for every shelter . But how come saraland , Chickasaw & mobile will come out and get strays but they won't unless you pay it's ridiculous. I also want to know why mobile won't come to this area and makes us use prichard because our address is eightmile which is prichards jurisdiction but I see mobile county animal shelter riding down this street by my house all the time I've seen him go up my side of Lott over a dozen times . So when prichard animal control will not come out & mobile claims that they don't come out here. Then

I went to the shelter to look for my dog that’s a German Shepard when the two guys said they had some but none had a scar on her back. I asked can I walk back there n just look and they told me I couldn’t it’s against policy??? But the other two shelters did?? Anyone wanna help me out here
