Presque Isle Animal Hospital

I took my dogs, Teddy and Ollie, to the Veterinary Hospital today for their shots and checkup, and I couldn’t be happier with the care they received. The staff was friendly and professional, and the doctor was very patient in asking if I had any concerns about both of them. I also had them groomed while we were there, and they did a wonderful job. Ollie & Teddy look absolutely adorable! It’s so nice to have a place where they can receive both excellent medical care and grooming all in one visit

I dont even remember his name because i was so distraught/stressed out over the situation and my sweet angel being as sick as she was, but he was incredible. The most wonderful and kind man I have ever met. My Dog, Peanut, is an intact female, originally my mother's dog who got passed on to me. I just recently moved to Houlton and while she had a primary vet in NH I hadnt been able to find one up here yet. She apparently wound up with a massive infection of the uterus. Not uncommon for un-spayed females of her age. She's an old girl. 22 years old this year. Mommy panicked and called around to every vet from here to Bangor. No one would see us. Presque Isle Animal Hospital in Houlton is easily the best experience I've had with a vet in the 5 years I have had my dog Benji. The staff at PIAH were friendly, professional, sympathetic, and very helpful! After speaking with Heidi on the phone and exchanging a few emails I had registered my dog as a new patient within a few hours and booked an appointment for the very next day to get him checked out. Other vet offices in the area were a few weeks out or were full on appointments and not taking new patients. I would highly recommend PIAH for your pet. They are easily the best vet I've been to, and will be the vet I continue to use for years to come!

Honestly would give 10 stars if it was an option. My dog had a bit of an emergency, and PIAH got him in the day that I called. The girls at the reception desk were so kind to me, the vet techs were amazing, and so was the vet. My poor boy had a first surgery early in the evening, then needed a second surgery. It was super late, and instead of having my dog go to an emergency place like some other places do, the vet techs and vet worked on him very very late at night. They called and let me know at 12 in the morning that my boy was okay and awake! Customer service at other places really suck and sometimes is discouraging, but the customer service at PIAH is absolutely amazing! I cannot thank all of them enough for what they did for my sweet boy, I am forever grateful for all of them!

Rude, awful people. No bedside manner or customer service over the phone. Went elsewhere to help my sick baby. They’ll tell you they don’t have room for new patients but take in your neighbors new dog the second they call and ask. I’d rate it zero stars if I could.
