Pratt's Pets - El Mirage

I purchased my Lutino cockatiel from here 11 years ago. I got a family tree too. My Sunny will be 12 this May, 2026. I just love him. Animals from here aren't mass produced like box store places. The people are open and honest about what they sell and I would recommend them.

I bought my precious puppy at this store. They have a large variety of pets for sale. The employees are very nice and helpful. I like how they have the shot clinics there too.

They aren’t exactly familiar with the breeds but you are getting healthy chicks. They are so friendly from the two sisters in the front that will help you to Joseph who I dealt with. I bought chicks from a well known place all sick and didn’t act like these. They allow me to hand fed them. I might have gotten a rooster but it is too early to tell. My brother in law bought a German shepherd from this location years ago and he is healthy as a horse. I would recommend Pratt’s Pets to anyone looking to a flock. I can’t wait until their next sale but the prices are great in the meantime. Two of my girls pictured below. Been going here for years. Each time I visit, I am always greeted with friendly professional staff that are always willing to help. The only issue I have with this place is that I always want to leave with all the cute animals 😭

The selection of pets can be good if in stock. I bought a duck who apparently was raised entirely indoors. I brought the duck home and placed her into a outdoor quarantine pen until I was sure shes safe with the other adults. Being out in the cold at night KILLED HER!!!. had they told me the duck was never outdoors i would've done things differently. They are always short staffed or too busy to help customers other than the cash register which backs up with only 1 person ringing up customers. Though the place may appear to be moderately clean, the place always smells very bad. Be sure you get all the necessary information and know all the care for the pet you may buy there. The staff has no knowledge of anything in the store. And if to guarantee, dont purchase!!!
