These folks were great to work with. These 2 handsome guys went home with us, but there were others looking for good homes too. Animals were well cared for, clean, and the staff were helpful and knew each of the pet's personalities and habits. Good people helping to find these animals good homes.

It is the best animal shelter I have ever been to. Many of the cats are able to roam freely around the shelter, which gives you the ability to interact with them and really get to know them. It's also nice because it makes the cats incredibly well socialized. The staff are extremely caring and helpful (especially Carmen), and they really do their best to find the perfect cat for you and your living situation. I got my cat there, and she is the best.

This is the ideal location to find your new best friend. The staff is kind, helpful and knowledgeable. The furry ones are allowed to interact with one another, which is helpful when deciding on whether to adopt the pet that's right for you ( and you for them). We adopted Gracie in September of '17 and have had our hearts grow at least 2 sizes since.

Last weekend we adopted 2 kittens from Prairie's Edge. We happened across the kittens at the Chuck and Don's down the road. Even though we were not sure we were adopting yet they let us meet all the cats. They were very nice to work with and have many wonderful cats there. The kittens we adopted had obviously been handled frequently and very kindly. We can do anything with these 2 little girls and they just purr. At first the price they asked seemed high. But after realizing that if we had gotten 2 free kittens we would of had to pay more for vetting to get them to the point these girls were at when we brought them home. The facility was clean. It took about 10 minutes for anyone to come up front to help me. I was interested in adopting 2 cats. It doesn't say anywhere on their website that they need verification of vaccination on owned animals before being able to adopt or I would have brought in the paperwork. After being told I would have to come back Tuesday I went home and got the papers. I called them to ask if that would be good enough for me to bring the cats home that day. I was then instructed that my current cat needed booster shots and proof before I could adopt. I was then told that as part of their policy they wont adopt out cats if they wont be in the house 100% of the time. So basically- if you want a cat that you can have as an indoor/ outdoor cat you cannot "rescue" an animal. Don't waste
