Can’t recommend Dr. McDonald more. Friendly, educated, and kind. He takes the time to listen to your thoughts and questions, and isn’t afraid to explain his reasoning behind his decisions. I really appreciate his less is more approach as not only does it save your horse from unnecessary procedures but obviously your pocket book too.

Dr. McDonald is a true professional! He has dealt with several emergency injuries to my mare and mule in a timely fashion and with great care. When my senior mare developed horrible abscesses from a pasture virus, he made multiple trips around my work schedule and kept her in the most comfort possible during this painful situation. He made an awful euthanasia decision peaceful and expressed great care for us and our equine. He researches issues and if he can give directions by texts, he tries to do that vs. charging you for an onsite visit. With the shortage of mobile vets for large animals, it is worth it to become a regular client. We have used Dr. McDonald since 2021 and I won’t let anyone else treat my horses and mule!
