Posh Pets Rescue

Posh Pets is an awesome no kill, not for profit animal shelter in Long Beach. Linda, Mel, the staff and volunteers serve the needs of the animals first and find the perfect home for each adoptable dog or cat. I have adopted twice and I am currently fostering one fur baby! Each time has been a pleasure and I have had the support and guidance that I needed. If it weren’t for the amazing staff none of these babies posted here would have a second chance and I would not have found my best friends.

I simply couldn't be more thankful for my sweet boy, Valentino, who I adopted from Posh Pets Rescue! He changed my life the day I brought him home to foster. It was instant love and after a week I knew i couldn't let him go. Everyone at Posh was so accommodating, understanding and thorough through the entire adoption process. Thank you posh for the greatest blessing in my life!

After losing my 13 year old special needs French Bulldog in October 2025, I completed an application with Posh Pets to adopt an approximate 5 year old Frenchie on a Thursday. Within a few hours, I received an email from Linda Vetrano requesting to schedule a virtual home visit via Facetime, which I set up for later that night. Everything went well with the visit and all of my questions were answered. I asked when I would be able to see the dog. She told me that I would be able to see her on Saturday around lunchtime and that she would reach out to me via email with an exact time. The next day, I received an email from Linda stating that while a final decision had not yet been made, she was attaching a medical report for the dog's rectal prolapse for my vet to review. We had a great experience adopting Leila from this rescue. Everyone we met was nice and it was obvious how much they care for the animals there🥰

They are great and they really go the extra mile before, during, and after adoption. The animals are well cared for and loved as they await their new homes. Our poodle was up to date on vaccinations, spayed, dewormed, treated for fleas and ticks, and already micro-chipped. Our Mia is now 6 months old we got her when she was 8 weeks old and she has been a pleasure, we all enjoy her; she has a wonderful disposition and friendly with other dogs, and kids. We couldn’t be happier with Posh Pets and our new babe
