Such cute little and some huge dogs. These dogs are very well taken care of. The welcome volunteers daily.
Please support this rescue however you can! I adopted my baby Queso from them in September. He quickly settled in as part of the family as though he had always been here. The adoption process was smooth and the rescue was super accommodating with me bringing my resident dog to meet Queso at the shelter, then allowing me to drive him back home and return to pick up Queso (so there wouldn't be any issues transporting the two large dogs in a car after just meeting). I appreciate everything they do for the animals of Polk County - Queso had all his ribs and parts of his spine showing when I adopted him (he had only been in rescue for about a week) so he was clearly in desperate need. He's gained weight and lives a happy life now all because of PCBP being his bridge 🩵
Really disappointed in these folks. I found 2 dogs a mom and a pup abandoned. Tried to reach out after I nursed them back to health and gave them somewhere to be for a little. Told them I had no problem transporting the dogs to their faci
Please come and donate your time walking the dogs or taking them out for a doggy day out. These dogs sound way too much time cooped up. We walked nd played with about 10 dogs. Towels bedding food donations are always appreciated.
Polk County Bully Project: A Lifesaving Non-Profit Polk County Bully Project has one of the most admirable missions I’ve come across. They go above and beyond to help bulldogs and other dogs in need, especially those at risk of being euthanized at Polk County Animal Control. This organization rescues these dogs, giving them a second chance at life, and works tirelessly to find them forever homes. If a dog doesn’t find a home, they ensure it receives the care and love it deserves. It’s inspiring to witness the dedication and compassion this team demonstrates every day. I first learned about the Polk County Bully Project through their annual 5K runs, which I began attending three or four years ago. My husband and I love participating, especially since we have a little dog of our own. The e
