From the very beginning, they recognized how serious my dog’s condition was and knew exactly when he needed to be rushed to a specialty hospital. That decision truly made all the difference. After he got spent the night in Fort Smith at the animal ER and the entire next day at the animal hospital in Greenwood, they didn’t just hand us off and move on. They made room for us throughout the week for continued monitoring, follow-ups, and care, which meant more to me than I can put into words. Our 9 year old Cairn Terrier was up all night with difficulty breathing - Friday - she had other health issues that several appointments at our home vet had not been diagnosed so we wanted to take caution and have her seen. We received a recommendation from a friend in Mena and Pleasant Hills squeezed her in to their already full schedule. They did blood work, X-ray and exam. She was there most of the day. They found fluid, swollen nasal passage and an enlarged heart (which had most likely caused her previously undiagnosed symptoms.) We are so grateful to them for seeing her. I am a new client of Pleasant Hills Animal Clinic, and happily so! The lovely nurse Emily, and the surgeon (I don't know his name unfortunately, but I'll update this when I do) agreed that the weird, growing tumor in my dog Angel Bella Beeza's ear was not just swelling due to an ear infection, as was suggested by someone else, but was in fact a fairly large growth that needed to come out. They did the surgery today, and did a beautiful job! They carefully sedated her, removed the growth, and she is home and recovering very well so far! They sent her home with antibiotics and some pain meds. All of the staff is very nice, and I feel comfortable taking Angel there. I expected this surgery to cost a minimum of $500-$800 as it sure would have been in Dallas where I'm from! It was just over $30

I thought my sweetest puppy I got for my son 16 years ago was not going to be with us anymore. She was down and I do not want her to suffer so I had our family spend time with her and I took her to Dr McDonald and his caring staff to stop her suffering. Emily was so sweet and caring to our baby girl. Dr McDonald did an examination and she is indeed in final stage heart failure. Emily drew blood, Dr McDonald did X-rays. Emily spoke to me about her diet. Dr McDonald treated her with a few things including heart medicine. She responded quickly to the medicine. She’s drinking again. Bright ever and alert. I’m going to get her shortly to take back home. She won’t live forever but I’m grateful our puppy is going home happy for another 6 months, a year? Who knows but as long as she wags that tai
