Pike County Animal Shelter

I was just there last week to take this sweet girl home! The staff was incredible! They really know these amazing animals inside & out! I just wanna brag about this so much because this amazing beautiful pup that we now have has been a HUGE blessing to my family! Myself & my kids have been wanting a dog for such a long time! And Lana aka Luna has made our home feel like it’s finally complete!!! She is so sweet & loving! She’s friendly! She is just an all around WONDERFUL family member! Thank you so much Pike County Animal Shelter for allowing me to bring this beautiful wonderful girl to her forever home!!!! I am so grateful!!!!!

I adopted my kitty from this shelter a couple weeks ago. It’s clear to see how compassionate the staff is, and how they take pride in their facility. I worked with Terri, who names every animal that comes in and could tell me each one’s history off the top of her head. The record keeping is also meticulous - my cat came home with her own personal folder with immunization records, rabies tag #, microchip info, her original intake form, etc.

This is an amazing facility. Terri, Elle and the rest of the staff are so caring and loving to each and every animal they have. They know their personalities, likes and dislikes. We adopted a sweet little orange tabby kitten from them a couple of days ago and the experience could not have been better. I was able to visit and get to know him every week until he was old enough to go home. Cannot say enough good things about this great animal shelter.

Adopted my sweet Dolly from there. The staff are amazing people who love and take care of all the animals there. I'm just hoping more people will adopt from them and take these sweet babies and give them a forever home

I found a dog in the county who looked like they didn’t have a home, I called this place to see if they would take it because it is cold and raining outside and I got told to take it back and drop it back off. The temp feel like 10 outside today and the poor dog didn’t look like it had anywhere to go. This is supposed to be an animal shelter but they obviously don’t care about the animals well being.
