Pickens County Animal Shelter

Hannah Strickland is the best thing that happened to Pickens County. Hannah goes above and beyond for the dogs and animals in her care. You can tell that this isn’t just a job for her...it’s something she deeply cares about. She puts in the time, the effort, and the heart to make sure these animals are treated with compassion and given every chance possible. I’ve personally seen how much she advocates for the dogs and works to help them find safe homes or rescue placements. It takes a special kind of person to do that kind of work every day, and Pickens County is incredibly fortunate to have someone like Hannah helping lead the effort. Could defiantly use office members meeting over manors, respect, niceities, and they need to be reminded the phones do work they can call back. Yes they are helpful in some ways and nice-ish but mostly rude. Both encouters with the animal shelter I've had have been fairly interesting to say the least. And the lack of care towards helping house animals shows. When people say they can't take care of animal listen to them that's how people end up bringing in strays all the time cuase they force you to try and keep your pet and ive mentioend my issues to others and heard from others how them not getting help from the shelter cuased them to do the most creulest thing ever and just leave the pet stranded somewhere* i dont care who you are that is not okay and whoever is reading this, if you have

Just adopted a precious pup! The animals are well cared for and the staff is very helpful with the adoption and foster process! She is a larger dog so the adoption was free! Donations are accepted!

Apparently these people there hate their jobs. There are rude disgusting people and shouldn't be working in the workplace especially with animals. They treated my grandma with rudely and ignored her. They also were very rude in the phone with my gf trying to get strays a home. They need to be fired and replaced with people who actually love life and enjoy it not these robots who are rude and hate people.

Both my daughter and son in law and we adopted dogs a week ago. They were very friendly and helpful with the process. The facility was very clean and all of the dogs were non-aggressive and socialized. We are delighted with our two new family members!!
