Pickens Animal Rescue

I consider myself to be an have been told I’m crazy for how much I care and love dogs. Stacy however might have me beat. We got Winston a year or so ago, he was timid and scared and touched my heart, so I brought him to be part of our pack. About a day later I saw I had some voicemails, to my surprise it was the head of the show calling to insure Winston had gone to a loving family. She has even followed up to this day to track his progress. To me that screams deep love for what you are doing, and haven’t seen that anywhere else, with any of our rescue dogs. I started going to the vet that is attached to the rescue, the staff and Dr. Tyler are beyond helpful and it is a reasonable and affordable place as well. I can’t express enough how unprofessional, unethical and incompetent the employees are at this shelter. You think you do a good deed; yet the staff will tear you down and refuse to have any empathy on people who try to do their best with helping stray animals. If they treat people like this; I can only imagine how they treat their animals!!! 10/10 Do NOT RECOMMEND

Completely unprofessional. The man who we spoke to at this rescue was aggressive, rude, and had a filthy mouth. Cussing and yelling instead of listening or helping. No reason to treat people that way, especially when they’re just trying to help animals. Disgusting behavior from someone claiming to “rescue.” I don’t even know why they are calling themselves a “rescue” when they don’t accept animals or try to help at all.

Wonderful experience. We found our forever dog there. She is so happy and gets along with your dog great. Looking forward to many happy years ahead. The staff is AWESOME!! A definite ***** 5 star experience.

Have been going to this vote for about 6 months, 1st experience was great the next 2 were not so great. 2 days ago we had a ferrel that we were taking care of and were going to bring inside. It Went into labor Then was unable to deliver 3 of the 5 kittens. She was fading quickly so I called my vet, Pickens animal rescue and was put on hold for over 5 minutes. I called back and they tried to put me on hold again and I told them we had an emergency. The girls seem very irritated that I was disrupting her day and was anything but friendly. I told her account was dying and she said they didn't have time for us today And besides they didn't do emergencies. I hung up and when I finally found a bit that would see her she tried to save her but she died. I would never take nor trust taking an
