Dr Alex and the staff are amazing! We rescued a 13 year old dog in December 2025 from a situation where the owner was not capable of caring for him. When we saw him, he had no use of any legs. He had pressure ulcers to the bone on both sides of his shoulders. He was in so much pain and we honestly thought it was the end but we wanted to see if there was anything we could do for this sweet baby just to give him a little love and care. Any other vet may have said euthanasia would be best but she saw how much we wanted to try and she did everything she could to set us up for success. It was a very hard road but Buddy is doing so well!! She's compassionate, caring, and you can tell loves her job. I recommended a few other people to her and they all had the same great things to say!

Nice clinic ,friendly staff! Dr Stroupe and his assistant were very helpful and they took good care of my doggie.

The veterinarians and staff at Picayune Veterinary Clinic are truly wonderful. Their love and care of our dogs has been amazing. They go above and beyond and seem to love our animals as much as we do. This is truly the best care for our animals that we have ever had!

Absolutely Wonderful!!! My pup had an accident requiring stitches while we were camping. I called the clinic and they took her in immediately. They sedated her, stitched her leg and provided lots of meds for inflammation, infection, and pain management. Two days later….she’s prancing around, almost 100% except for thing….she hated the cone🙂 We were able to get an inflatable one and she’s much happier. Highly recommend!!!!

Had to get my dogs tail docked because of happy tail. Picayune vet provided amazing care for my fur baby and at an honest price point. The vet he normally sees wanted double for the same procedure, which is sad since I pay for a wellness plan monthly! I will be switching all 7 of my pets to Picayune vet.
