The best staffing! I bought a Fluval PROVAC from a different petsmart and got home. Plugged it in and it didnt work. While i was doing this. My puppy got to my packaging. Even though the box was ripped i came to this location and got a even exchange due to the PROVAC not working. Y'all are the best! Thank you!

If I could leave less than one star I would! PetSmart grooming got soap in our golden retriever’s eye during a grooming appointment. This was not a small mishap! It resulted in a painful eye injury and an urgent vet visit, where we were warned that she could lose her vision if we did not act fast. The "soap" caused an immediate ulcer covering her whole eye. No pet owner should have to sit in a vet clinic praying their dog does not go blind from a routine bath. PetSmart refunded the grooming fee. That is the bare minimum when your negligence injures an animal. What makes this experience truly appalling is everything that happened next. They opened a “ticket” for corporate to handle the situation, including our vet bills, and then disappeared. No follow up. No support. No concern. No apolo

We came to adopt a cat and San Mateo staff was very friendly letting us meet the cats we wanted to interact with before adopting! They also dedicated the time to explain everything we needed to know to make sure it would be a good match for us. We are very happy with this little guy, our new family member!

Great employees and very helpful. Just has a bit of a an empty warehouse feel so the atmosphere isnt the best

Large and well stocked pet store. Also has a cat adoption center, a pet hospital, along with many pets to choose from, such as fish, guinea pigs, parakeets, and others. Decent sized parking lot and a friendly staff makes it easy to find any pet-related items.
