One of the nicest pet shops in the area. I actually drive about 45min just to shop here. The staff is always super friendly and very knowledgeable. Thier selection of fish is good and have plenty of stocked items. I would like to see more Birds, and they should be higher up so people dont have to bed down to see them..

The Betta cups in the Lakewood NY location are absolutely deplorable and have been every time I come to the store. There are multiple dead rotting bettas that actually stink and just about all of the cups are so full of fish waste, algae and food that you can hardly see the fish inside. Most of the fish already have dropsy from trying to survive in the terrible water conditions and swim bladder disease. I spoke to an employee to see if someone could do something about it and they advised me "it's the new cups that make it hard for them to care properly for them". Please do something about this immediately as it is abuse.

I was there last night and somebody asked me, have you had experience with reptiles before i simply stood there and told them, I have reptiles.I have tortoises and all this, i even told them I have a 10foot boa and didn't even act like if they cared about it.So after this , you will be losing a really good faithful customer!

I went to get my daughter a betta fish and the fish were half dead , dead or sick and the cups were disgusting. Very disappointing that I had to drive to a further pet store to get a fish. This is animal abuse.

12-20-2025 : don't take your dog in to have them help you pick out the correct foot wear and harness on a busy day. They were so busy cashing lines out there was no one to help. After waiting for about 30 minutes we left without getting anything or help.
