This Petsmart store has just about everything you need for your pet. They have a large variety of items for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish, etc. Their pricing is a little on the higher side compared to discount stores unless it’s on sale. There are some items that are comparable in price to other stores such as their Pretty Litter price. They have pet training classes and dog grooming/a quick wash. Their staff seemed friendly and helpful.
I was taking my dog here for years for grooming and recently they've been rescheduling me each time I sign up for the grooming service. I assumed after the first time that it was because of a shortage of groomers but when they called today to reschedule (literally an hour before her appointment) they told me it was because they had a lot of dogs coming in around the time she was scheduled and she was too over-excited with the other dogs. My dog is more on the medium size and she's a GSP, so she is definitely high energy, but she's very friendly and like I said, she's been going here for 2+ years and I've never been told there were any issues. The most horrific racist and discriminatory experience of my life! The groomer who opened the store 8am 02/20/26 made me leave the groom salon as she welcomed everyone else’s dog and gave them a friendly pet. She had extremely long pointy pink nails with other sharp accessory on her nails. When it was my turn to check in my dog, she very aggressively put the leash on my dog and was pulling her really hard and my dog started choking. Her nails was so long that she poked my dogs stomach and you can see a red mark on my dogs stomach. She then said my dog “failed a pet assessment”. Bri the store manager got extremely aggressive and told me too exist the store because I’m not going to get serviced for my dog. This was one of the worst experiences of my life. Update: I went to the Leesburg Petsmart for our dog’s most recent grooming. Friendly staff and did not get forced to purchase a $20+ add-on. Unprofessional groomer/manager, beware of forced add-on purchase for doodles when using a package! Jenn was the groomer and told me I was required to buy the add-on package for my dog because she is a doodle, otherwise I'm welcome to cancel the appointment. I have had the super savings package (a pre-paid full bath and groom package) for years and had never been forced to purchase an add-on or even been charged for matting because we kept her coat short and brushed. When asked why the previous groomer at this location didn't charge for the add-on, she said the person had "forgotten" to charge me. How convenient! She even asked me if I was new to tow
The store manager Bri was extremely rude and unprofessional during my visit. She was confrontational and seemed to have already made up her mind without listening or trying to understand the situation. She also made judgmental remarks about how I should know how to take care of pets. I have been a pet owner for over 20 years, and in all that time I have never had a bad experience with PetSmart until now. Her comments were unnecessary and inappropriate. I ended up going to another PetSmart location, where they assisted me with no issues at all. The difference in customer service was clear. Bri needs to improve her professionalism as a manager or reconsider whether a customer-facing role is the right fit. Very disappointing experience.
