Petsense by Tractor Supply

Quit coming here when Petsmart opened. Got a text asking if we would come try again. I should have listened to my inner self 😔 with coupon and a discount it was still $90. I asked for the bath and deshed package. I was told it would be about 4 hours as the deshed takes time. I was not worried about time. 1.5 hours and I received a text he was done 😳 The package was supposed to include sanitary trim and paw balm. My dog got a bath and nails trimmed. He was not even dry when I picked him up. He is STILL loosing hair and his nail was cut to short so now he has to go to the vet. I will NEVER be back! The young blond was extremely unprofessional!!

I absolutely love Petsense. It feels like a small town mom and pop type of store. There is always someone available to help and answer any questions I have. I never have to wait more than 2 minutes to check out because there is always someone right there at the registers. At some other bigger name pet stores I have to wait in line FOREVER. I waited in line for over 5 minutes one time at a different store and vowed to never cheat on Petsense again. They have an awesome loyalty program for dog food, buy 10 bags get one free. There prices are sometimes even cheaper than other places, plus the rewards program. Their groomers are amazing and they always do such a great job! Great place. They took my dog in for grooming the same day I called. Friendly and did a great job!

The grooming was ok. The only big problem I have is giving dogs waaaay too many treats. It was mine and my pups first time trying out a groomer. Two or three small treats I agree with but giving close to 15-20 throughout the whole grooming process was a little much for a 5 mths old puppy. She had diarrhea and vomiting the next 24 hrs. I was not happy cleaning her kennel at 5am.

We normally buy our dog food here, so we decided to have our German Shepherd groomed there too. We chose to pay extra for the de-shedding, and I spoke with them on the phone and they told me it takes a couple hours for that. Less than 45 minutes later they texted and said she was done. When she was brought home I checked and there are complete areas missed. It seems like she got a bath and a quick brush and that was it. No sanitary trim, nails weren’t done, didn’t even smell like soap. Paid over $100 with the extras and now have to pay for it again somewhere else. Only reason for 3 stars is because it’s a nice shop for dog food with nice people, but it would be 1 star for the grooming.
