Pet's World

Pet World in Riverdale used to be one of my go-to places for tropical fish for my freshwater aquarium hobby. I’ve known Joe, the original owner, since the 1990s. He built that store on knowledge, passion, and—most importantly—customer service. After Joe’s passing, and following COVID-19, the store was taken over by new owners, Kerry and Kell. Even after Joe passed, I continued to support the business out of loyalty and respect for what he built. However, during a visit in the summer of 2023, I had an experience that completely changed how I felt about the store. Found a dead snake here and nobody cared to remove it or anything. Trashy place, glad I came to inspect. No animal was taken care of properly, wouldn’t doubt if animals bought here die “mysteriously”. Worst reptile/pet store I’ve ever walked into or seen.

Everything you need and more i bought a red ear slider and he was so educated on all aspects definitely will be taking that ride from Douglasville just to get my pets from Pets World 🌎

I will never make the mistake of buying a pet from here again. From the very beginning i should’ve guessed there was an issue because i asked repeatedly for a female ferret, which i was repeatedly told he was. I even asked about the return policy if i was to discover he was not a she (because the salesman seem really weird when i asked about it) and i asked again at checkout if my ferret was indeed a girl. I got home to all of his pink things only to discover he was indeed a he. Obviously by now, my daughter is like i don’t care, let’s keep him. So that was the first red flag about this place. I purchased a ferret ($420) and had him for a very short period of time and he just started to deteriorate. We took him to the vet and after much money and a lot of heart break later we discovered h

I adopted a dwarf rabbit from here in July by December she was dead by an illness the vet said she most likely got from the pet store which started worsening. I contacted the pet store and received absolutely no response back. Very poor customer service!
