The first photo was when they added Morse to their store back in 2023 and this is him now (I couldn’t get a full picture bc when you get near him he yells) I’m astonished that this place is still open in the condition that it’s in! They have flys all over the bunny’s and hamsters. I genuinely believe this place has to be a laundering scheme since they set the prices for the animals so high that’ll they’ll likely not sell? I hope to see changes since it’s so sad that they are in this condition!!

I want to share something that left me feeling really uncomfortable. As a woman, noticing that I was being followed by a larger man (Employee) for an extended period of time was unsettling and not something I take lightly. I went to a local pet store with a friend and we were there for about 40 minutes. During that entire time, a male employee or manager wearing a radio followed us around the store. There were plenty of other customers there interacting with animals, but his attention stayed mostly on us. He kept making long eye contact, standing close to us in different areas, and hovering nearby, especially around the bird section, where he stayed for a good 10 minutes. I don’t visit this store very often. This place is needs to be shut down. The puppies are absolutely bored being stuck in cages and children are allowed to run back and forth antagonizing them. The critter and bird cages have bugs all over them and the girls that work there are the worst. They are rude and bitchy and do not have good customer service. I understand they think they need to charge thousands of dollars for their puppies but when someone say “3400?” when they hear the price, comments like “it sure isn’t $34” doesn’t need to be spun loud enough that other people can hear it.

My Girlfriend and I went into the store with the impression that it would be a neat pet store to look at and perhaps get a furry companion but that was not at all the vibe that we received we are used to pet stores like Petco, Petsmart, etc where the employee accompanies you if you want to handle an animal but at Pets R Us that's not the case they don't have any regard about helping you with questions about the pets nor if you do want help they can't be found the cages are open so if the pets did want to escape there's nothing stopping them they have signs that say handle pets at your own risk I could only think that if someone was upset they could very well hurt the animal if they picked it up the wrong way not to mention the Parrots the one named Rex looked very very neglected an abundan

Pet stores should only be a place to get supplies from. Pets should be responsibly obtained by private breeders who produce pets from love and passion for the animals, not greed. It should be about quality over quantity when it comes to breeding and selling live animals. People need to know better and do better, so your research on how to responsible obtain and support good breeders. Stop impulse buying pets. And DONT buy pets especially puppies from a pet store like this, or any pet store!!
