Petland Shavano Park

Came into petland with no intention of buying a puppy, just wanted to pet some puppies on my birthday. Played with a couple and then fell in love with a mini goldendoodle and ended up leaving with her. She’s absolutely perfect, she’s gotten checked by 2 vets and both said she’s perfect and no signs of any breeding issues (which is important to me because we bought an english bulldog with a heart problem from a similar store (not petland) over all the experience was smooth and would HIGLY recommend them to anyone looking for a specific breed of puppy

We went to this Petland and we're really pleased on how well we were treated. Additionally, we purchased a Yorkshire Terrier. I can tell the staff really does care about their pets as we had to put a deposit on the dog as there were concerns about weight and they really were caring to ensure that the dog had everything he needed before coming home. On the day of pick up the Manager was very thorough on the contract, expectations, warranty and even helped us pick out starter pack for the Dog. Overall, location was clean, staff was attentive and answered all the questions. We can truly advocate and recommend PetLand based off out experiences and we will return for future business. Thank you Petland and Staff for making our experience great!

We bought our miniature poodle here. He is wonderful! They take good care if the puppies. They have everything you need for your fur baby.

Avoid purchasing a puppy from Petland, which is fueled by pure animal cruelty. Petland claims to source their puppies from reputable, caring dog breeders, but that's far from the truth. They source their puppies from puppy mills, large-scale breeding operations that keep their dogs in unsanitary, overcrowded conditions with lack of access to veterinary care, food, and clean water. These operations focus more on how many dogs they can breed, rather than the welfare of the animals. The puppies often end up ill, living short lives, and the mother dogs are discarded when they can no longer breed. Petland sources puppies from these places. A quick web search "Petland And Puppy Mills", and you'll find articles upon articles from animal rights investigators that discovered and described Petland's

Went there as it opened. If you want to see the dogs you have to have an appointment and give a drivers license. Better to call and ask for the details. All of the dogs are not cheap in price and expensive even at their lowest. Couple of grands. So stick with the rodents they’re way cheaper. They also have rabbits. They Do look well taken care of was clean on the inside and didn’t smell. They do have pet foods, supplies, toys and more.
