My husband and me go here periodically to look at the animals especially the ferrets. Well we went in on the 7th of February and talked with one the employees Gavin. First about the ferrets, then the snakes which my husband held one and uh no I couldn’t even touch it then we moved on to the birds. And we ended up walking out with a parakeet, the cage and accessories for her. I couldn’t be more happy! We have since named her Pikachu and love her very much! We also bought a dwarf hamster and the accessories from here as well a couple months ago and her name is Tiny. The owner was also there and talked with my husband and me about the parakeet and hamster! 10/10 recommend this store!
Pretty bummed. My rat I bought from here is super sweet but I took him to the vet and he has tape worms and ring worm. And I contracted ringworm from him as well. :( 20$ rat has ended up costing me closer to 300$
Everyone is so knowledgeable and helpful. They have a huge selection of animals and supplies. This was my first time here and I'll be back soon to take this boy home! It's worth the drive!!
Don't buy a bird here. Bought a little lovebird here as a companion for my peachie boy at home 3 days ago. They insisted the birds were healthy. The lovebird I bought just passed away at the vet. Whatever, right? Mistakes are made sometimes. The biggest issue was when I called Terri on the phone--I only wanted to warn that I thought my bird was sick and to keep an eye on the other love birds. She kept cutting me off and told me the bird was just cold. I've never had an issue with Mango (my boy) being too cold in my house but he's a peachie. I've never taken care of a Fischer's lovebird before (Yes FISCHERS this is important) and despite the approach, I'm sure she was trying to be helpful so I took her advice and placed the lovebird in a bird backpack with a heating mat. Yes, the bird per
This store has a wonderful set up for the animals, and the employees are great. My only complaint is that some of the cages are open. While most people are respectful, I have seen kids digging through the hamster bedding, tossing their toys around, etc. I get that this would be hard to deal with as an employee, but the animals should always be the top priority, even if that means closing their cages.
