I'd give zero if possible. I've been a customer of the grooming dept for 22 years. I made an appt once a month for my chihuahua for 11 years no problems. Now I have a 100 lb Rottweiler have been taking her for 10 yrs to get a brush out & paw trimmed. Now that she is old this has happened 3x, they don't do the full 15 min brush out, with a n excuse of "there isn't anymore hair coming out we have to stop" yet when we got home I brushed her before her bath & SO MUCH hair came out. Not all of her nails get trimmed & buffed I have to point it out to them when they walk her out; 4 paws, 4 nails each is 16 nails, do they mis count? how do you not get them all? They have her out ready to return to me within 10-15 min. I've asked that I be able to schedule an appointment so there is no rushing and

I go every two weeks to get 150 crickets into 5 bags as I have 5 aquariums. I was informed today they are no longer aloud to do 5 bags only 1 which is a huge inconvenience to me as a customer so I will no longer be shopping with petco and I called their corporate office as well and put in a complaint. PetSmart does 5 bags with no problems so they will now get my service.

Wish I could honestly give zero stars. I used their grooming service for years. When my dog became an old man and had to take a daily medication I foolishly was honest and told them that he was on medication so they refused to groom him anymore. I offered to sign a waiver telling them that if he happened to pass away while he was there I understand and would hold them harmless. They refused. They cancelled the appointment I had set up. I called and asked them to reconsider because he was 14 and didn't need the stress of going somewhere other than where he had been going for years. They refused. Dear Petco Corporate Team, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a negative experience I had with one of your groomers, Jonathan, at the Petco Waltham, Massachusetts location. During my recent visit, Jonathan falsely claimed that my dog was “matted” and refused to perform the grooming service. Out of concern for my pet’s comfort, I took my dog to the veterinarian immediately after — where I paid $150 to confirm that there was absolutely no matting present. The vet verified that my dog’s coat was completely healthy and well-maintained. When I returned to discuss this with Jonathan, he admitted in person that he is not educated or experienced in grooming curly-haired dogs. Instead of being transparent about this limitation, he made a false claim that led to unnecessary stress,

Most dishonest retailer I ever encountered. They stole my rewards that didn't even expire. Was on the phone with them for almost 2 hours stating my claim, and the lies just kept on coming. The Customer Service is horrible. They kept saying they were sorry but didn't offer any solutions. Yesterday I updated my Premiere Account to not auto renew, and also cancelled upcoming deliveries. I will continue with the grooming because it isn't their fault. My problem is with Petco's corporate office in San Diego. After August I will be done with them.
