I am writing to formally report a very serious and upsetting incident that occurred during my dogs’ grooming appointment on January 18, 2026, at the Petco grooming salon located at 1100 Middle Country Road, Selden, NY 11784. I brought my two dogs to this location for an 11:00 AM grooming appointment. The groomer assigned was Gina Marie. I have used this Petco location many times in the past and previously had positive experiences, particularly when our original groomer, Marissa, was employed there. Gina Marie had groomed my dogs once before and that visit was acceptable, which is why I felt comfortable returning. However, this visit was absolutely terrifying and unacceptable.
