Petco Grooming

Jose Javier is a wonderful groomer. He treats our cocker spaniel with such loving care and she always comes out looking beautiful, incredibly soft and fluffy, and her fur is bright, bright white (she is white with red markings)! I wish I knew his secrets. Our dog is pretty anxious and timid, but she is now very excited and happy to see him at each visit.

I've had two bad experiences getting my dog ​​groomed; both times she was hurt. She used to have a groomer who did a great job, but he left, and I was recommended the manager. When I had the appointment, she told me she wasn't accepting new dogs and assigned someone else—the same person who hurt her the first time. She also didn't clean her ears properly, the cut was uneven, and worst of all, she hurt her again. She's been injured since October, and they won't take responsibility.

Elaine did an awesome job with both of my huskies. Anyone who has huskies knows they’re not easy to work with, but she handled them very well. They came out looking great and super clean. Really impressed with her work, definitely coming back next time.

Ease of booking. I searched quite a few places with good reviews and when i called they had no availability for a long time. However, i did find a sign saying “Help wanted” looking for groomers a bit concerning. But the place looked well staffed and i was ok with the results. This was my first time there. Got the ear hairs plucked and they came out good. My puppy got bathed and cut and I was happy with the outcome.

I took my dog Kanela to the Petco grooming at Rego Park, and I am deeply disappointed and shocked by what happened. The groomer shaved her ears without my authorization, completely changing her appearance and causing her discomfort. My baby came out looking nothing like herself, and this has caused me significant emotional distress. I still can’t understand why they would do something so drastic without asking me first. This is unacceptable, especially for a place that claims to care for animals. I would like to make an update about this store. Thank you for making this grooming experience so different and pleasant. I was nervous because of a bad past experience, but this time it was completely different. I really appreciate your care and professionalism. Thank you so much!
