Hello, my name is Vance, and my family and I just wanted to share what an incredible experience we had with Grant at Petco. Over the past month, we came in a couple of times knowing absolutely nothing about snakes. Our son is 8 and our daughter is 10, and they really wanted a ball python. When we first walked in, we were honestly just entertaining the idea. We had no real plan to actually buy one. Both times we came in, Grant was the one who helped us, and he was phenomenal. He was patient, thorough, and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to explain everything we needed to know about ball pythons, what it takes to properly care for them, what kind of setup they need, and what to expect as owners. He didn’t rush us once. Between the two visits, he probably spent two to two and a ha
I BELIVE his name was grant! Anyways me and my boyfriend went in the other day to look around at some of the aquatic things since it will be our first time with a freshwater tank! And Grant was soooooooo amazing and kind to us, had tons of knowledge to share and gave us some tips!! Thank you, we both left petco very happy! good guy!
It appears that the advertised discounts on certain bins are not accurately reflected in the pricing. Upon bringing this to the attention of management, the price adjustments were reportedly not possible. However, when the issue of potential false advertising was raised, along with the intention to document the situation online, a price change was then offered. It is regrettable that such measures seem necessary to ensure the advertised prices are honored. Considering the circumstances, it might be more convenient to explore alternative purchasing options online.
Thought I would try again to get my dog groomed thinking maybe they had improved only to be disappointed again. Took Bella to get a full groom. She was there 4 1/2 hours. They usually tell you around 4 hours but this time she told me she wasn’t real busy so it might be closer to 3, which was great. After it had been 4 1/2 hrs I called to check on her and they said yeah, she had been ready for a while. They said they had notified me but I got nothing. She said they had been having problems with the system. Bella had been in that cage for so long when I picked her up she could barely breath. She was wheezing so bad I almost went straight to the ER. I decided to wait a little to see if she would calm down so I took her home. After about 10 mins of being home she was fine. I’ll never take her
Went to get some feeders for my own critters and decided to browse the reptile area. I immediately noticed a baby corn snake with enough mites to notice and it was visibly underweight. I could see its spine. That’s definitely not a single missed meal. It was also housed with another corn snake so it probably had mites as well. I did let an employee know as she was checking on the pythons, but when she took out the corn snake, she placed it in the same hand she was holding the python. That definitely could’ve ended poorly and if that python didn’t have mites, it does now. She blamed the mites on the vendor they get the snakes from. Do the animals not get evaluated and quarantined for a few days before being placed for purchase? If you are aware they come to the store with mites, why not qua
