Good selection of products, friendly staff, dog friendly of course! Usually on Saturdays they also have a chihuahua rescue there to show you available little pups for adoption! Trust me when I say they are some of the cutest little dogs you'll see up for adoption it would be hard to leave there on a Saturday without wanting to give like five Chihuahuas a home!

Mixed actually. The cashier is great: thinking, polite, personable and a confident problem solver. However our challenge did require a manager. Manager one made his declaration on how to solve the problem then ran off. His solution did NOT help: problem persisted. Manager two declared that if the system could not do the return then there would be no return. This customer was HIGHLY DISSATISFIED with that closed-minded, thoughtless answer. A manager who lacks the ability to think about a problem return and even bother attempting to solve it! A manager who ignites the ire of customers! So this CUSTOMER, having never worked a day in retail, nor worked a register before, came up with the solution that worked! Awful associates and customer service, we arrived 10 minutes prior to close after being sent here from the San Mateo location which did not have the copper medication product they claimed to have. Once we arrived doors were locked, male employee noticed us and proceeded to point at us while we waited at the door he then proceeded to promptly go into the employees only room waiving the other employe to go with him, not returning to the floor for several minutes until we re entered or car to leave. Working in customer service myself It is unacceptable as customer service associates to be blatantly disrespectful to someone you have not so much as interacted with, and to make no attempt to provide service to customers while within operating hours.

Unsafe Animal Handling & Disrespectful Management. I came into this Petco because I saw an online sale on tanks. I ended up purchasing a tank, lid, substrate, and even a corn snake. From the moment I was at the register, it was clear the snake was not properly secured. While standing in line, the snake began popping its tiny head out of the air holes in the box. I had to physically catch it, put it back inside, tape over the air holes, and even get it unstuck from the internal flap of the box—before I even left the store. When I got to my car, it seemed fine at first. But while sitting in the parking lot, the snake escaped through the bottom of the box. I searched my car for 45 minutes.
