Pet Supplies Plus Waco

This was a heartbreaking and frustrating experience. My 70-year-old mother was charged $87.64 for grooming at Pet Supplies Plus, only to be handed our unfinished, poorly groomed 13-year-old dog and told after payment that they “couldn’t finish because the dog bites.” Our dog has been groomed many times over the years and has never been labeled aggressive. If there was an issue, it should have been communicated before charging her in full—not after making an elderly customer come pick up her dog in this condition. Charging full price for an incomplete service and treating a senior this way is unacceptable. We expected basic professionalism and compassion and received neither.

Started bringing our dog here a year ago to use the wash stations. We use them about every other month. They were great. Seems like each time we went in it got worse. Water hoses not the correct kind and spraying water all over from the connections. Air hoses popping apart. My husband brought a screw driver in with him the last time so we could tighten the connections. I’ve told the workers at the front the past 2 times how bad it is and nothing changes. We really like the store and location but are considering going elsewhere.

Had the absolute pleasure of stopping by this PSP on our way home from a dog show, the entire staff was friendly and so nice, we bought a few bags of clearance food, realized we had more room and bought them out, multiple employees offered to help us out, load bags, and loved on our dog, we turned back around and I ran in one last time when a the container our bettas container we’d gotten from another store cracked and I just had a fish and no water, they immediately ran and got him in a cup of water and put him in a bag for us to safely make it home! 10/10 will visit again!

I have always gone to Petco, or PetSmart when it came to any kind of pet products. But yesterday I visited PSP Plus, and I was blown away by how nice the store was, as well as their selection of pet supplies! Their prices are honestly the best in town and their employees are very helpful, kind, and will go out of their way to make sure you find the right products for your pet. I was also very impressed with how nice and clean their pet wash was! My dog loves it! We will be back!

Overall a decent experience. I have gone to other locations to utilize the self-service dog wash stations and usually have a better experience. Unfortunately, the tubs were not being taken care of and there was not much in terms of supplies available to utilize as I have seen at other locations. As for the items in stock, they had a good selection and we got what we needed to get from the retail side.
