Pet Supplies Plus Johnson City

My husband and I get all of our cat stuff here every 2 weeks. They have better selection and pricing for our needs compared to PetSmart and the employees are always friendly and knowledgeable. My only complaint is with their isopods. I was really excited when they started getting them in but wherever they get them from seems to keep them in very poor conditions. They come in a cup of nothing but dirt with nothing to eat on or hide under so they die very quickly in the store then sit there for a month or two. I have tried two batches of them now right after they get stocked and have given them the best care I can based on the information in the kits they have and my own research but they never survive for more than a month. Lauren is the BEST GROOMER for my goldendoodle LucyLu. We were so fortunate to have found her after moving to Kingsport from Buffalo, NY. We travel a little but Lauren is worth it. Lucy loves her! In fact we have been very impressed with the entire staff. Always knowledgeable and willing to help. Thanks guys!

Overall I like the store but I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE GROOMING AT ALL, today I took in my dog to get groomed because I had a coupon for the salon and I thought I would give it a try. I paid over $90 and it was not good. It doesn't even look like his ears were done it doesn't look like his nails were clipped his hair is still in his eyes he just doesn't look good at all especially for the money I should have kept the appointment at PetSmart. I need to take him somewhere to get fixed but I don't have the money now after paying for a full groom and the added doodle package which I am not sure after everything else if it was even done. For other things I like the store I like to shop local I like to get my food for my dog and cats there but we will not be using the Grooming Salon ever again.

Do NOT shop at this store! I don’t normally rate businesses this poorly, but this one really treated us badly. We purchased fish from this store. We told the associate that was waiting on us that we only wanted female fish, as we didn’t want to put a male into our tank that has only females. After a week or so we discovered that they put a male in the mix! I called the store and was told I could bring it back and exchange it for a female since I was in the two week timeframe for returns. When we got to the store with the male fish in hand, we were told that they wouldn’t take it back. Apparently, this was store policy. I wasn’t told this on the phone. They said the store associate I spoke to on the phone a couple of hours previously tried to call me back and explain her incorrect advice. I

It’s been five hours and I’m still shaking so bad from how frustrated I am. I specifically drive from Kingsport to johnson city to use this grooming service. I like how they groom my dog better than the Kingsport location even though the Kingsport location is five minutes from my house. I got there at 10:50 and was told that it would be 45 minutes to an hour before they could take my dog back there to get him groomed. She mentioned something about double booking. Next time, call the customer! Keep in mind his appointment was at 11. After some back-and-forth, I decided to leave him. Before I left, I asked to speak to one of the supervisors to see if this was normal. I’ve brought him here multiple times and never had an issue of them taking a while to start on him.
