Everybody here was so nice and caring. I brought my dog in one evening because she was having a severe anaphylactic reaction and was in critical condition. They took her in immediately, ran all the necessary tests, and kept her hospitalized overnight. By the next day, she was well enough to be discharged and was doing so much better. The hospital is tucked away in the office buildings near Costco, but it has plenty of parking and is easy to find. Best of all, they’re open 24 hours, which gave me so much peace of mind. Highly recommend this place if you ever have a pet emergency

Dr. Suau was amazing. She made our stay there very welcoming. My shadow got care excellent by her. I would come back for regular check ups if she wasn’t just an emergency nurse. 😌 (don’t mind the photo, shadow is just upset to wear an E-collar)

We had the best experience with our visit in pet emergency with our schnoodle Kenji. We would like to thank Daniela at the frontdesk for being thorough with explaining to us how the process works also being patient with us when we had so many questions for her. Also with Dr Suau for being our speedy gonzales and taking good care of our Kenji! Special shoutout to Nurse Claire for keeping an eye on our beloved Kenji and also taking good care of him. You all have made a great impression that will last and stick with us. We really appreciate you all so much! Thank you thank you and thank you!

I was so happy with how everything turned out during my visit. From the moment I walked in, the receptionists were incredibly kind, not just to me, but to everyone coming in with their pets. I also want to acknowledge the doctor, who was extremely thorough and took the time to answer all of my questions. The nurses are such rockstars too for being able to handle my fiesty chihuahua. While there was a wait time, I completely understood, knowing my pet was getting proper diagnostics and the attention he needed made it well worth it. I appreciated that i was able to wait at home until the doctor was ready to call to let me know when to pick up my little one. When I arrived, everything was clearly explained, including discharge paperwork and medications. I still had a few more questions, and e

I’m writing this still shaken, exhausted, and devastated after what my cat Zeus and I went through at the Pet Emergency & Specialty Center in Chula Vista. Zeus was in obvious distress when I brought him in — barely peeing, straining nonstop, and clearly uncomfortable. I trusted this hospital with everything. Over the next two days, I approved every test they recommended, paid close to $5,000, and stayed glued to my phone waiting for updates because my cat means the world to me. During those two days, I was repeatedly told there were no stones and nothing blocking his urethra. They took multiple X-rays, ran bloodwork, and treated him for inflammation. I honestly believed he was finally in the right hands. But when they tried to remove his catheter so he could come home, things took a sha
