Pet Cancer Group

To begin, I was forced to take down a prior review due to a legal letter from the Doctor’s lawyer threatening legal action if I did not take down my review - it is out of respect and courtesy to the Dr. that I will not share the letter publicly. However, I will not be silenced or intimidated. I do not wish to engage in litigation. I do not have emotional capacity to fight a case as I am grieving the death of my cat. My experience was so upsetting, I believe it would be wrong not to share my opinion and experience of what happened. I would recommend to others to look elsewhere. It is my opinion that the doctor failed to take my cat’s symptoms (such as being dehydrated and not eating) into consideration when beginning the harsh medical treatment. Dr. Villamil and staff have been wonderful through our journey with my grandpup. He was very clear at the beginning what to expect and our pup far exceeded his expectations. We have never felt pressured to make a choice.

Our fur son Bruce was diagnosed with intestinal lymphoma in February. We met with Dr Villamil and chose to begin chemotherapy based on the prognosis. Dr Villamil gave us hope of “80% remission with 4-5 years of life after treatment”. We started chemotherapy in April. In August, the day of Bruce’s last chemo treatment, we called to inform them that Bruce had taken a sudden and drastic decline and was being seen as an emergency at his vet. I called Dr Villamil to advise them of the situation and all they said to me was “I’ll let the doctor know”. No other words. We had to euthanize our sweet boy Bruce the next day. We were heartbroken. It’s been almost 3 months since and they have never contacted me since about Bruce, his status or if we were even coming back, to reschedule, etc. They have

I have only the highest praise for Dr. Villamil and his wonderful team. We had taken our sweet toy Yorkie, Gigi, to another cancer center down south and she was newly diagnosed. It was a horrible experience. She had three treatments and we were only "allowed" to see the vet oncologist once. He never gave us an update after the initial consultation and he was very negative from the start of her lymphoma treatment. Their team was also so rude. So we decided to make the move to Pet Cancer Group. It was a great decision. Dr. Villamil was so caring with our Gigi and the staff was always cheerful, kind and very professional.
