Paula very clearly has a heart for animals and you can know pretty confidently when adopting from here that you’re getting honest transparency and a new pet that has been well treated and well cared for. That shows up in dividends day in and day out. I’m very blessed to have a dog and two cats all adopted from here, and should I find myself seeking a new pet again, I’ll almost certainly be back.

What a great experience at Perry Co. Animal Rescue. The cat room was fantastic. Very friendly cats. If you are looking to adopt a cat(s) you won't be disappointed in their process. All of their cats were friendly and climbed all over you. They definitely picked us!!!. We waited 2 weeks to be approved and finally got in. The photo are the brother and sister we adopted. They are loving life..

Huge shout out to the volunteers! The application process was a breeze. We got updates and emails on where we were at in the process the whole time. The staff is genuine and super friendly (older reviews do no justice. Glad I didn’t listen to them). Hours are strange but it’s all volunteer work and no one gets paid there to do any of the work! It’s all out of love. We worked with them and they worked with us to get our fur baby home! It took a little time but I wouldn’t go anywhere else. These rescues need good homes! I’ve never adopted from them, but over the years, I’ve found that they are less than enthusiastic to help with anything from a lost dog — to medical care — to found kittens. I understand how overwhelming running a shelter must be, but people still deserve to be treated with kindness and not dismissed or left on read. We have so few rescues in our area, I’m sure they are stretched out thin. Respect, or even acknowledge, is still deserved.
