Peppermint Pig Animal Rescue

I went to Peppermint Pig on Valentines day. My Shih-tzu was raised with a cat, so I thought I'd get another one. I e-mailed back and forth with them and filled out the application. I met Tatiana (Dove now) on VD and took her home. She was all tooth and claws at first so I kept her in her carrier. My Shih-tzu is very smart. He played like he was sleeping while she sniffed around him. I had high hopes for bringing a kitty into my home, and Tatiana (Dove) has exceeded them. The personnel working with me were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Used to love this place but the ladies running the checkout especially the one with all grey silver hair are beyond rude not only to myself but to the older lady in front of me she had her in tears! The experience was so bad that I will not be returning, sad after being a customer for over 15 years. I will just keep supporting The League for Animal Welfare at least they are truly for the animals!! I would steer clear

I found my best buddy here. They are amazing. They love the animals so much and take amazing care of them. They have a great thrift store and tons of animal toys, clothes, bowls, leashes and collars. If you are looking for a new pet, start your search here!!!

I'll start with the good. I love to shop here as it goes to a good cause. It's hit or miss on finding some pretty unique things. However the last 2 times I've been there, the ladies at the counter start setting their own prices. This would be okay if it weren't overpricing. A dog carrier that had an $18 sticker the lady said it'll be $25 until my husband showed her the sticker. The previous time their bathing suits were marked a certain price but when I got to the counter she said "oh not this one, its brand new its $10". Sorry but I'm not good with things being priced and then you get to the counter and they pick a new price. I hope they don't continue this practice as it makes for not good business. Love the the mission of this thrift store, rescuing dogs and cats. The store is well organized and chock full of treasures. Vintage clothing, jewelry, toys, household goods, kitchenware, lamps, linens, craft supplies, baskets, pet toys, books, china. And the inventory is constantly updated as new donations come in. Highly recommend.
