I adopted my green cheek conure, Pedro, from Soaring Spirits Sanctuary, and I cannot express enough how incredible this rescue truly is. Jenna, the founder, pours her heart and soul into every single bird that comes through her doors. Her passion is unmatched—she treats each bird as an individual with a story, a past, and a future worth fighting for. Pedro came from heartbreaking conditions, and Jenna didn’t waste a single moment getting him what he needed. I filled out the paperwork to rescue and followed the directions regarding sending images of cages as requested. They reached out pretty quickly asking my preference on birds and we discussed my current set up, home / life style, etc. We had consistent communication leading up to my decision of adopting a cockatiel. When I picked up the cockatiel (now named Sunny ☺️) I was worried it may get lonely. They worked with me on a second cockatiel (Roy 😎) and provided me an extra carrier to transport home. They checked in frequently to make sure the birds were transitioning well and they provided a lot of information on how to care for these birds. ​It was through the magic of social media that I discovered this incredible rescue. Seeing how much joy my African Grey brought to my life, my best friend's heart was completely captured, and she decided she simply had to open her home to a feathered companion, too! I told her, "Send in your application and let's see what destiny has in store!" ​And then came Jenna, who was an absolute angel! Best experience so far adopting!! These ladies love what they do and love their birds even more. We drove 5 hours to meet Gizmo and immediately fell in love. We fostered for about a month with weekly check ins and wonderful advice if we had any questions. Of course the decision to adopt was easy. We are no owned by a sweet sweet Goffin and wouldn’t have it any other way. Definitely will be back for more feathered friends in the future. Thank you ladies for all that you do!
