Customer Reviews
My son wanted a puppy and researched for 2 years on what breed he wanted. I’m so thankful that we ended up meeting Amanda and her beautiful dogs. She has been so helpful, I don’t know how she was able to choose the perfect puppy for him but she did and he has been the perfect addition. He has been the perfect blend of playful, protector, and the best cuddle buddy.
I paid $1800+ for a 6 week stay and train. I gave them a fairly well behaved dog, who needed the start of a service dog program. I got a dog back that was nervous and anxious most of the time. It's been a year. Those behaviors have not changed. The trainer did not give my dog , the training that we had agreed to in the contract. She Was too busy doing other things like trying to open a dog treat shop in poteau. I don't believe there was any training done at all. My dog has no recall, does not understand simple commands. I had to pick my dog up in the middle of the night, because they had an unexpected litter of puppy's coming. There was worry about the mamma dog killing my dog. Amanda did agree to finish training at my home. But she only came about once a month if that. Never on schedule.
I did train the trainer with Amanda. My Aussie was so reactive that I was getting to the point that I felt I couldn’t take him anywhere. Amanda came and did an assessment giving me instructions along the way of how to handle Zeke while we did the introductions. We then did the 5 week train the trainer where Amanda taught me how to train my dogs while meeting me twice a week (sometimes more). Amanda also provides tools and equipment as needed through training. Zeke had a Petsmart foundation while Zoe (9 months) had no training. She gave me the tools to redirect and correct Zeke’s reactivity. She also listened to all my converts and adjusted training as I had questions or things come up. Icing on the cake was when she came over when I had company coming to stay with us so we could introduce
Amanda is awesome! She worked with my granddaughter and her German Shepherd. Amanda came out to work with them both twice a week and was really patient with both. Both are young and it was a challenge. I would recommend the train the trainer as this program teaches the trainer how to work with pet as they need to be worked with daily. Unfortunately due to no fault of Amanda, we had to cut the program short and hope to start again someday to continue the training. I would highly recommend her for your dog's training needs, whether basic or more.
