When we were looking for dog trainers in the area, Greg immediately stuck out to us & has since exceeded our expectations. Greg is absolutely amazing, patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. When we first brought our 1 year old rescue, Millie, to him, she was shy and anxious. Within the first lesson, she had already completely warmed up to him. She’s a much more happy, confident, and loving dog and it’s been extremely rewarding watching his methods transform her behavior. Greg was recommended to us from a friend who was thinking of working with him. After my 10 month old Bernese mountain dog/great white pyranees/poodle mix was fixed, we knew it was time to train him. We had started a few commands on our own but really needed some tools to help in other various situations. We hired Greg with Pawsitive K9 and it was a fantastic experience. Greg is patient, informative and very easy to work with. From learning how to put our dog on “place” to teaching how to “heel,” Greg was there every step of the way, and most of the time it was at very weird hours! When we first started working with Greg at Protective K9 Academy, our Cane Corso rescue, Kahleesi, couldn’t even be in the same room as him. Fast forward a few weeks, and she’s not only working calmly beside him—she’s showing him love and trust. Greg helped us turn a scared, nervous puppy into a confident, obedient dog. He even empowered our 7-year-old to be part of her training, and now she follows his commands with total respect. When we first met Greg we were desperate for a change in Bayou’s behavior, he’s a husky so we knew we needed someone with experience and patience and Greg and both! Now we have a husky that LISTENS! My husband and I learned we needed to work just as hard as Bayou was to be able to make this work. Greg graciously adjusted his schedule for us, he worked with us and Bayou over several weeks and now it’s like we have a whole new dog, just as sweet and silly, but more confident in us as his parents and more confident in himself to listen and learn. We couldn’t have done it without Greg!!

From the first moment Greg met our newly adopted dog, Toby, he began training. We had many challenges to overcome and Greg gave us the tools to be successful. We didn’t know Toby’s history or what he went through before we adopted him. Greg’s intuitiveness with the dogs he trains is priceless. Toby is now well behaved, happy, trusting and confident.
