Somebody hit a raccoon, which broke its legs and instead of doing the right thing calling for assistance they just left it on the side of the road. I called dispatch they weren't unable to help. They sent me to State Patrol wildlife division, wildlife said not a lot they can do. I did a Google search and located this amazing organization, no questions asked they allowed me to bring the injured raccoon to their facility and then explained they would do what they could and hopefully we can help the raccoon out and if we aren't we will give it a compassionate euthanization. We need more companies and people like this organization that care about the animal lives it's not the raccoons fault that it got hit by a car thank you to this great non-profit for representing humanity. I hope they are
It took me a while to post this after what happened. If you find a crow in need that is injured please consider alternatives. I thought bringing a crow in need to this place was a good call at first but I soon learned that they will "compassionately" euthanize a crow that is injured at the joint. They don't understand how badly that crow wanted to live and they made a decision that it didnt want. Again, please consider other options, either try to take care of it yourself or find a place that has a strict no kill policy. I will never get over my choice to bring it here. Edit: In response to their reply. If you find an injured crow. Please do your best to take care of it yourself (legal or not), it will live a better life than taking it to PAWS. Maybe there are other local places that w
What a service facility. In the first five minutes of “Admit” of a crow that crash-landed in our yard, a hummingbird and a sparrow were admitted by two other lovers of life, no matter form it takes. The service we and the crow received, … well, we were so impressed that those few minutes made the drive from Auburn worth the trip and mileage. ***** Note: RCW does not allow the keeping of even an injured wild life for more than 24 hours. Who knew? except that the wife called 14 different resources before we were referred to PAWS. *****
Found a gosling outside of my house abandoned without any trace of a family. Monitored the area but was unsuccessful reuniting it. PAWS gave outstanding service by guiding me to care for it until I could bring it in 7 hours later. They provide excellent service and information. Thankful they had the knowledge and licenses take it.
They lovingly took the owl we brought in! The area is so beautiful and we'll maintained. Thank you for everything you do for the animals!!
