Paws Place Dog Rescue

My wife and I have adopted several dogs from here over the last 25 years.Over the years we have always found the facility to be clean and the animals well taken care of. This is a no kill facility which means they will keep them indefinitely if they are not adopted. Their goal is to find a home for each one of them. They rely on donations and at their own expense they drive to kill shelters and pull animals. After the animals are pulled they are put through tests and are given medical treatment that is required to make them healthy which in some cases can be thousands of dollars. I mention this because of the negative comments I have seen regarding being turned down to adopt due to your current animal's medical history. If you don't have a dog currently you will likely have no problem being approved for adoption. If there is any period of time ever in your dogs vet history where heart worm meds or flea & tick are ever missing or late you will not be considered. I appreciate a thorough rescue place but after a quick conversation in person, and a glance at vet records that were up-to date, we were declined because several years ago one of our pets was late on a semi-annual shot. What's ironic is the dog we were wanting to adopt had heart worms and was not neutered. Even if you are a great pet owner with a great property, they would rather give a dog to someone with no pet experience over you because of the lack of vet records. This place is so fantastic. The staff is so knowledgeable and informational. They really care for each and every dog in every way. They follow up and ensure the dogs safety and happiness. I got my sweet Ollie from them (white dog) as a brother to my babygirl Irie (black dog) and they have been best friends ever since. I could not have found a better match if I tried my hardest. These two go together like peas in a pod. Paws Place did their due diligence vetting our home, our reasoning for adopting, and making sure they would get along. They continue checking in and provided some wonderful information and resources in his adoption packet for anything we may need. I can't say enough about this agency!

Went here to check out thier adoptables. I was very impressed with the kennels and how comfortable all the animals were. The staff was welcoming and gave us a tour, explaining ever dogs situation.

I cannot say enough great things about Paws Place. They truly care about each and every dog that comes through their doors. I adopted the most PAWfect pup from them about 9 years ago.
