Paws on the Mountain Greyhound Adoption

Paws on the Mountain is awesome. Our new girl is fantastic and loving having a forever home. The process was super straightforward and while we are not new to rescues, this is our first Greyhound. Paws made the adoption easy and helped with all the new stuff and info for new purebred puppy parents (sorry couldn't not use alliteration). If you are looking for a grey to rescue this is a fantastic option.

This is an amazing organization! We got our first greyhound through them in 1992 and have gone back to adopt eight more. They do incredible work and we are proud to be a small part of that. Greyhounds are amazing family members. With tracks closing around the country, there is a need for more homes for these awesome creatures (who are about the most low-maintenance pet you will ever have). Denise has over 32 years experience placing Greyhounds with "the right" families and it's quite apparent as soon as you talk to her. We exchanged several emails and a few phone calls before we made the 2.5 hour drive to WV. The Facility is basic, but well organized, and the Dogs seem very happy! There are several organizations around MD,VA,PA that have websites which haven't been updated in years, but her website, along with Facebook page, are updated often. The amount of knowledge she shares is amazing and necessary because Greyhounds have some very unique needs. Besides having zero understanding of living in a house, stairs, glass and mirrors, they are basically very well mannered puppies!
