I brought my bloodhound, Azriel to Paws and Claws and cannot express how impressed I was with everyone! Dr. Burke and her vet tech were very thorough and patient with my dog and me. They got to know him before they started their evaluation which made him at ease and me, too! Dr. Burke explained all that she was doing and discussed things to do to help him. It is such a Blessing to have a holistic vet on the South side of town and the fact that she is out standing is even better. Her receptionist was also very kind and patient.

I brought my dog to this facility for a surgical procedure, trusting their medical expertise. Prior to the surgery, my dog was healthy and had no skin or systemic issues. Shortly after the procedure, my dog developed a severe, rapidly spreading skin condition that has since been identified as a flesh-eating infection. This was devastating and completely unexpected given her condition before treatment. What has been most concerning, in addition to my dog’s medical decline, has been the lack of empathy, urgency, and accountability from the veterinarian involved. I did not feel heard or supported during an extremely stressful and emotional situation, and my concerns were largely dismissed rather than taken seriously. We've been going there since it was called, Shannon Animal Hospital. I miss the old Veterinarian and his wife, however, he left it in good hands with Paws N Claws. The staff is awesome and helpful. The Vet is very nice and professional. Thank ya'll for taking care of my kids(pets😁).

Dr. Burks is wonderful with our boy. He is an Irish Wolfhound and was diagnosed with osteosarcoma (bone cancer). He had a bone in his left front leg removed and Dr. Burks has been working with him on a bi-weekly basis for physical therapy. She has used laser, acupuncture, massage and hydrotherapy. Although our boy will always have a limp from surgery, he is friskier and far more mobile than when we started. So grateful to have a holistic vet who also does hydrotherapy and PT on the south side! Everyone else is up in Alpharetta or Marietta. Her rates are fair and she is great with our dog. Thumbs up!
