Customer Reviews
The staff is so amazing not only with my two fur babies but with me also. They remember my pets names. The doctor is patient and always listens to my concerns. They return all phone calls and follows up on any appointments made on line in a timely manner.
I very much appreciate the doctors and staff and Paws and Care for their continued kindness and care for Maggie and many of the other feral cats I fostered through the years. When I moved from Maryland to West Virginia, I continued my committed to the practice and drive 2 hours to be sure my animals see Dr Hogue. She is hands down the Best Vet in my experience!
I thought long and hard about whether to post this review, but I believe it’s important to share experiences that can help businesses improve their customer service. On the day of my pets’ appointments for their shots, my father had a heart attack. As many can understand, when emergencies like that happen, everything else becomes secondary. While at the hospital, I received a call from the veterinary office. As I was explaining my situation to the receptionist, I was cut off mid-sentence and told that I would be charged a $75 missed appointment fee for each pet. Had she allowed me to finish speaking, I would have explained that I could still make it later that same day—I just needed about an hour to leave the hospital, go home, and bring my pets in. But I was never given the opportunity
I have used the Animal Medical Center of Watkins Park for two of my pets. They showed love and provided advice that was really needed. When my Yorkie was killed by another dog they sent cards of sympathy and love.
Update: I want to thank the staff at Watkins, particularly Dr. Salmond. On Nov. 10th my retired K9 partner suffered a life ending medical emergency. The staff here were nothing but kind from the moment I called where they immediately made space for us in their very jammed packed day, to helping me make funeral arrangements, once the decision was made to end Kellen’s suffering. Their hands, filled with love, compassion, and kindness joined ours stroking Kellen as she took her last breath. Dr. Salmond stayed with me for quite awhile after, as I held and stroked my partner for the last time sharing stories and laughter about her antics. I KNOW, this was as hard for them as it was for my family yet, they did it with unparalleled grace, compassion and kindness. I can never Thank them enough fo
