Paws Across Pittsburgh Animal Rescue

This is a dog and rescue center focused on fostering out and ultimately getting these animals in great need adopted to loving homes. I have personally witnessed the tireless work these volunteering individuals put in to achieve the mission of PAWS. If you or someone you know is interested in donating your time to helping this organization, there are numerous ways you can help out, but fostering is by far the most important gift needed to help save the overwhelming amount of dogs and cats in desperate need.

My mom & her husband adopted a mini-goldendoodle. The whole organization was nothing but nice & the dog is a perfect fit for our whole family.

We adopted our new kitty, Paige, from Paws Across Pittsburgh. They were very friendly and quick with the whole adoption process. Thank you so much to everyone that helped take care of Paige, before she found her forever home with us ❤️

Best experience with a rescue by far. I’ve had my Leroy (fka Curry) for almost 3 years now and I still get yearly check ins. They really care about the animals and alumni and are very engaging. I will continue to donate and they’ll definitely be my first choice of rescues to adopt from in the future.

I was a foster through PAWS and volunteered other ways. My third foster was with me several months and I asked to adopt. Adequate communication did not occur and I was refused. Please be aware that fosters are not given first choice to adopt as stated. I was heartbroken, and my kitty who had settled in had to go through the upheaval if going to a strange place. Had the circumstances been different I would have adopted and continued to foster. For this reason I would not recommend this agency.
