Pat Brody Shelter for Cats

Echoing similar reviews, we had a terrible experience. After two very uncomfortable visits, we adopted a cat who, unbeknownst to us, was very very ill. Within a few days she required emergency care, and ultimately we were told that our 5 month old kitten is going to die in the next few days. It appears that Pat Brody did not get an appropriate vet check up after isolation from transport and before adoption, which is in violation of the law. Do not adopt from here.

Very lovely place for cats to be sheltered in. They have nice spacey rooms for their cats that allows you to play with some of them with toys. Helps a lot with getting to know the cats and forming a bond, just as me and my sisters did with our new cat who is the sweetest. And the staff members/owner were extremely nice, let us take our time during our appointment, and even provided a spare cat carrier they had so that we could take her home that day. Very lovely place.

My dear friend just adopted a kitten from this organization. The kitten was underweight and not eating. They took her to the vet and discovered that she is very ill and will not make it. The Pat Brody Shelter was supposed to have the kitten signed off by a vet before adopting her out. Clearly that didn’t happen. My friend is heartbroken and out hundreds of dollars. Pat Brody Shelter needs to provide a full refund and DO BETTER for other cats and other adoptive cat parents.

We adopted this beautiful kitten, and the process was wonderful. The organization socializes the cats, making it easy to introduce them to my pets. Our kitten got comfortable within two days and is now friends with our other pets. They take excellent care of the animals and definitely prepare the cats to adjust well to their new homes.

I am an experienced cat owner and came to adopt 2 cats after my cat of 15 years passed away. Upon arrival, I saw that this shelter is very clean and that the cats are well cared for. Within an hour, I went home with 2 female kittens who are littermates. It was obvious that they were handling these kittens because they knew not to bite or scratch hands (yes, they make mistakes-but they're babies). They love their food and they love to play. And, they love me. We are family. UPDATE: They are pretty big now. In the picture of the face of the ginger tabby, you can see her left cheek is swollen. The vet said she was teething and I couldn't bear it! We got through it. Their adult teeth are in and the ginger tabby needs more work on not biting or scratching when she gets excited. Bot
