Papaya Veterinary Care - Culver City

I recently moved to the Santa Monica area, and I have been shopping for a vet for the last two months, I was even driving back to Orange County because I couldn’t find anyone. My dog is seven and I’m not a “wait and see” kind of pet parent. I want to know what I can do and how he can live his best life. Over the years that has definitely cost me a lot of money, but this veterinarians price model is very fair. The practice is making it easy for you to give your pet the best care! Dr Nitido is practical and does not recommended tests and procedures that could wait or cause your pet more distress. What an amazing veterinary experience! The lobby itself says a lot, there’s tea and coffee, private corner areas where the more scared pets can sit, and it’s just really clean and calm The actual vet himself and the techs are great. So good and soothing with the animals, lots of tasty treats for them too, and also they take their time to explain everything. And definitely not a money grab, all options were offered with no pressure to choose a more expensive one. It’s taken awhile to find a good vet and this one is top notch, highly recommend and will definitely be our new go to!

Took my kitten to Papaya today. The whole staff was extremely kind and helpful. We went for a routine check up and some vaccines. I really appreciated how the Dr. explained everything to us and gave us the information for the vaccines we needed. It's also well priced. Something really nice that they did was give us a spray that would helpful make the introduction of our new kitten to Polly go better, it's a spray that helps clam cats down. We're going to keep bringing Polly here and our new kitten that's on the way. Thank you guys!!

I am serious about vet care for my 16-year-old shih-tzu, and today is the first time I have ever set foot in a vet in LA, where we left feeling great, was explained to so thoroughly that I left actually knowing what was going on, and like we were talking to a team of people who actually love animals and aren’t doing it for money. They didn’t overcharge us; they told us their recommendations and costs, and treated Pebbles right - not just going through motions and trying to get money. They have all-in-one capabilities and recommendations if there are any procedures they can’t do in-house. Dr. Nitido is honestly one of the best vets I have come across in my lifetime, and after our visit, he gave us a tour. This place was so clean and calm and truly beautiful. I want to be clear that I've only visited Papaya once so far, since they just opened in the Culver City area, but I was thoroughly impressed. Their customer service was unmatched - they ushered myself and my cats into a room immediately, the doctor spent a lot of time with us and listened intently to our concerns (I know, the bar is on the floor), and they followed up the next day to see how my kitties were doing after their vaccines. I appreciate how reachable they are by text and how clean the facilities were. My bill also was lower than expected, which was great. My only note is that parking nearby isn't great and they're on a busy street, so keep that in mind. Not their fault, but I'd suggest making coming with another person who can drop you off and find a spot somewhere close by.
