We adopted a puppy last week at one of the adoption events. She is an amazing dog blue heeler mix and we love her and are happy she's home with us and that's that it's not the puppies fault. However, They sent us home with "clean bill of health" which let me tell you just assume it's false and the paperwork is worth nothing. She was due for two more vaccine boosters based on her age and was overdue for deworming/flea meds. And on her first exam at the vet which was a day and a half after she came home the vet told us... She has hookworm. She has giardia. She has coccidia. She also has signs of skin/fur issues they are trying to determine the cause of. As I read through these reviews I see a lot of people having the same. Look we get their rescues and we get that these things happen... w

If I could leave no stars I would. To begin, I attended one of their adoption events and met the dog who I applied for online and was approved to adopt. They handed the leash to me to bond with her and walk her around the store, and that’s when I noticed she was all wet and I was unsure why. I brought her back to the event area and when I asked a volunteer if they knew why she was wet, they stated she may have had an accident in her crate and they cleaned her up.. but she didn’t smell like urine… so I asked another woman as well when chatting, and she disclosed that she had fleas and received a flea bath that morning- but still had actively moving fleas on her. This was after the dog was hugging us and jumping on us… we went through with the adoption and they told us to just give her a bat

I got my puppy here this past Sunday. Super excited to be a new pup mom. They were very nice, had a a lot of babies that still need homes. My pup came with a month of pet insurance, he already had the shots needed for his age, is well mannered (doesn’t really bark) and already knows how to listen to basic commands like sit. The lady at the front desk was super helpful as well. (I just have pics of my puppy, not of the place sorry) they are at the petco nearby on Fridays and Saturdays.

It was my first time helping here, but from what I have heard, they are a shelter that really cares for the dogs and wishes the best for them. I don't like that the dogs are crated for the night for 12 hours, but during the day they supposedly get outside a lot to run around with the other dogs. The caretakers look out for the dogs and the people who volunteer to help. But what I like best is that they really try to sell the dogs to a good family and have a quick turnaround with getting many of them to new families. From what I have heard, other shelters would not give the dogs as much free time, so it's nice to see they are cared for despite their situation. If they were in other shelters, the dogs may not have as good of an experience. The dogs are also VERY friendly for the most part.
