I've been going to OVS for several years now, when our old vet closed down. I knew I needed care for my dog. Most recently I rescued a 9 year old male Jack Russell Terrier, I took him in to get up to date on shots & exams, tests done etc. Found out he had some type of infection in his eye... ointment meds in his eye for a week & all better! Dr. Sam is great at explaining everything I needed to know & what to expect. A few days ago, he ate a piece of chewing gum that I had already chewed & it was in a piece of kleenex on the end table. I had gotten up to do something in the kitchen (forgetting to grab said gum) & he ate it! I freaked out knowing how bad it is for dogs to have xylitol! Called the emergency line(after hours) got told what to do & he was fine. Thank goodness! They even called

My family has been taking our cats and dogs here since we've had them. All the staff are friendly, helpful and very caring with the pets. The prices are very reasonable, I still come here even though moved to St. Paul because the prices are so reasonable compared to other vets.

We have nothing but good things to say about Osceola Veterinary Service. We have had numerous pets cared for by this clinic in the past 25 years and we always felt the care was top notch. Our most recent experience involved our 11 year old Goldendoodle who was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. Dr. Sam personally called us after his diagnostic visit and had researched a new treatment that could potentially extend his life. All options were explored and she was very thorough in explaining this new treatment, potential side effects, anticipated costs and what we could expect for outcomes. Throughout the course of his care, we had caring techs, quick responses to our texts and excellent vet care. At the end of our dog’s life, the euthanasia process was compassionate and caring. We have brought our puppy Apollo here since we first got him as a 6 week old. He gets very excited when he realizes he is going to the vet. He loves the attention he gets from everyone there and the treats he receives from sitting on the scale like a good boy!

BEWARE: I used to recommend this office to everyone, Dr Johnson and his team were friendly knowledgeable and helpful, however Doc Johnson retired and the service and care have not been good since. I went a handful of times after he left with multiple pets and the vibe was more about money and less about care. Last time I was there I was mocked by vet and tech while they were in hallway about my dog, days later she was at another vet having life threatening emergency surgery on my very concern I went there for. My entire extended family also all used them, we've all switched because they each have THiER OWN reason and personal experience for not returning.
