Oscar Winning Behavior Amie has a business of caring for dogs, which is a work of heart, yet she manages her business with no compassion. Our family paid $1200 for a series of 13 lessons. We completed only 3 sessions before my husband was diagnosed with cancer and our focus was his health not dog training. When we called with this explanation to restart our lesson program, Amie informed us that the time had expired and we had no lessons left. Even with the explanation of cancer, Amie was unwilling to offer even a compromise of a couple of lessons back. She just wished my family well and sent me a highlighted copy of her contract. A heartless response in a business that is all about heart.

So I found Amie earlier this year in Feb. She was recommended to me by a friend. I did two sessions with her, one of which was virtual and all we did was talk. The second I drove to her house. After this, a family member got sick and I had to reprioritize my life. I emailed her 4 separate times to schedule sessions and ask questions after I let her know about family/scheduling in Feb/March-once in April, July, August and September. She responded to my email in September, the one in which I mentioned a refund while the others went unanswered on an email chain she had responded on previously. I paid her $900, she refunded me $100. When we noticed our dog becoming more reactive, we knew living in the city without training was going to be tough and potentially dangerous for our dog. So we sought out Amie and Oscar Winning Behavior on the recommendation of our vet and couldn’t have been happier! Through the skills Amie has taught us, we now can enjoy more relaxing walks and there’s better behavior on both ends of the leash. Amie is warm and patient with dogs and humans. We really can’t recommend them enough! (We even sometimes bring our dog back for one off refreshers and know that Amie is a resource for us if things change in the future).
