Ohio County Animal Shelter

Our dog was taken from our yard and ended up 16 miles from our house. Probably being dropped by the people that took her. We looked for her online and ended up finding her in Ohio county. We was told the dog posted was not ours because this one was pregnant. Which was a lie same color around the eye and spots on body and even the same collar. Was also told we should have looked harder because they had her for awhile. We don’t live in Ohio county so we never looked in Ohio county. Then they told us she was adopted so we can’t get her back. Which proves they lied about that dog being pregnant. Not sure of the woman I talked to but she is a joke. And a disgrace of a person. But we’ve had people message us saying same thing happened to them within just a few days. They also blocked us on fb wh

I don't know who ran this place before but I know the person who is now. My dad passed away and we had trouble rehoming his and his late wifes dog. This dog was very special and important to him. It helped him a lot with his grief. But thd problem I thought would be that Skippy was up in age. My dad passed away also last year and I wanted him to find a good forever home. I made 1 phone call and they put us in touch the next day with a lady who was looking for a dog that was older and Skippy was the exact kind and age of dog she was looking for. I feel blessed that I turned to Ohio Co Animal Shelter that day and now Skippy has a forever home he can live out the rest of his life in. I don't know why these guys are only rated 3 stars but maybe give them another chance because they sure took

The only reason they get one star is no star is not possible. I don't know why we have a shelter. They never answer the phone or return a call. There's a tiny kitten freezing outside of my apartment and they don't even bother calling back. Ridiculous!

I live close to it and it was very clean and the people were and the animals were clean, and can use all the help they can get, they need all the car stuff and toys they can get for the cat's and dogs. It was very clean.

We got here and the place was perfectly closed & Google maps took me the longest way to get there
