Ocean County Animal Facility (south)

My family and I came to see the Halloween 🎃 pet parade. There were lots of dogs 🐕 in beautiful customs. There was even a hamster 🐹. It's a wonderful event. The shelter has a lot of kitties 😻 to be adopted.

The staff is super nice, had a great experience ended up adopting a husky from Brick facility with my family. Love the Manahawkin and Brick locations staff is super friendly and loves the animals. Thank you all!!!

I got my best friend from here. I LOVE that they will do same day adoptions here. Any place that won't isn't interested in rehoming pets (looking at you, popcorn). But this place definitely cares. However there was one 'different lifestyle' woman that was there that was very rude. Everyone else was awesome

Great friendly staff! They were super nice and helpful when it came to helping me find the purrrrfect addition to my home. They sent us home with some food and toys and a cute fleece blanket for him. They say "the animal chooses you", my son and I adopted Woodstock because he was super playful and friendly when we walked in and immediately caught my attention with his purrs and how outgoing he was! Two weeks later- he's thriving in my home. Loves to cuddle up in the morning when we wake up, loves his cat tower and his mouse on a fishing pole toy, and loves zooming around the house. We love him. I can't thank the staff enough for their help with finding our new furry best friend.

We met a wonderful dog there but did not have the proper paperwork to adopt him. Sadly, for us, he was adopted the next day while we were waiting for the paperwork to be processed on our end. Facility looked clean, and the dog we looked at, Moe, was super happy and the staff was great. If you're out there, Moe, you're the best.
