Very kind and experienced staff and doctors, very reasonable prices. Saved one of my kitties life, literally. A couple of years ago, one of my kitties needed emergency spaying and the emergency vet place in Latham made me wait for 10 hours, charged me $200 for literally just checking my cat out, and quoted me $6,000 yup you read it right $6 THOUSAND DOLLARS for emergency spaying or she was probably going to die in 48 hours. Called Oakwood next morning, first thing, hoping against hope, at first they said they're not sure if they have any morning bookings, but I explained the situation. They asked me to call back by 930 am. They checked with the doc who was in that morning, and asked me to bring her in by 1030. It cost me... $600. Not bad at all. I'm eternally grateful. Compassionate, Knowledgeable, and Trustworthy Vet! I am so grateful to have found this vet! From the moment I walked in, everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, and you can tell their top priority is the well-being of your pet—not just making a profit. They took the time to educate me on my options, allowing me to think things over without any pressure or judgment. I truly appreciated how patient they were in explaining everything and answering all my questions, making sure I fully understood my pet’s care. Their kindness and generosity made the entire experience so comforting. It’s rare to find a vet that genuinely cares this much, and I am beyond thankful. I will absolutely be a lifelong client!

I could never run out of good words for this location nor it's other clinic Boght. Also, except for one person in all the years I've gone there, never had an unfriendly or caring person. They treat your pets with love and care, and I truly mean that.

The doctor is nice but the staff is so rude, especially the one who gave me the meds for my cat. I called 8 times just to ask how many times I apply the meds she replied as if I hurt her. If you don’t like working with public; find another job.

Additional: Been going here for 4 years now and am sad that I need to find a new veterinary clinic because we are relocating. Oakwood has been a pleasure each time we visit. They are always willing to answer my questions and really care about my pet. Again we are sad we need to leave the comfort and kindness we get from Oakwood. Been going here for over a year. Great polite staff that love animals and are always willing to help you. It does seem that they are understaffed or over booked however because the vet only has about 15 minutes in the room with you and your pet before he is off to the next person.
